Bodyhood is a youth-led, non-profit organization that exists to promote body positivity and empower individuals to embrace themselves as they are. From informational Instagram posts, videos, artwork, stories, and more, our digital destination seeks to challenge traditional beauty standards and spread self-love, as well as create a safe and kind community.
Whether you’re looking for inspiration, advice, support, or simply a community of like-minded individuals, we invite you to explore our informational posts on Instagram and TikTok and keep an eye out for our upcoming podcast on Spotify.
Our mission
Bodyhood’s mission is to spread body positivity and body awareness, while educating our viewers and showing them we are in this together. Everyone has a body and every body is different! We are striving to highlight the beauty in every single body, and spread information on various topics. The topics covered range on a wide spectrum; from body hair to personal identity, Bodyhood’s mission is to spread as much positivity and acceptance as we can.
Something that we wish for our views to take with them is knowing that while every single body is different and beautiful, we share similar insecurities and fears about our bodies. We hope to unite people and show them that they are not alone.
Our Vision
With respect to the efforts of our staff to help better the organization, in the future, Bodyhood hopes to expand our social media platforms to reach as many people as possible through collaborations with other pages and accounts. We have already begun to speak with other creators who we believe we can collaborate with. We hope to showcase and highlight creative works of art and written works we have received from our supporters on our website and eventually start our very own podcast that will cover a wide variety of topics. Furthermore, Bodyhood hopes to publish articles written by our own staff and open team applications soon!
